Hijaz College

Pioneering a Greater Future

Why study at Hijaz?

Nurturing students to become well-motivated, conscientious and sincere

Is your son bored, badly-mannered, rebellious or lost?

Are you seeking to place him on a path that can inspire him in the right direction?

Why not place your child in a safe, Muslim and scholarly environment for his secondary education?

Many parents today face common problems from their children: teen angst and rebellion; identity crisis and moral or religious apathy. This problem is widespread amongst parents of all races and religions. Muslim parents especially feel insecure about the environment in which their children are growing and the company they are keeping at school. Many young Muslims are sadly influenced by their peers and other social pressures, forgetting the moral code they have left behind at home.

At Hijaz, a strong emphasis is placed on Tarbiyya (character building) so students may develop a robust work ethic as well as a healthy sense of personal wellbeing. A combination of weekend and evening activities and mentoring encourages students to nurture and develop themselves personally, morally, spiritually and academically.

Shaping the future intellectually, spiritually and professionally

Hijaz provides a structure in which young Muslim men can develop their secondary school education, without sacrificing essential and advanced knowledge of Islam. This system is a combination of a stimulating teaching timetable as well as a varied extra-curricular regime, so students feel energised and enlightened as they are learning.

  • Hijaz offers the highest levels of education from secondary school qualifications to University degrees, taught by a staff body that are like family members to their students.
  • The mental, physical and spiritual discipline is such that it ensures that the right kind of social development of the student can take place.
  • The seclusion of students at Hijaz, from the outer world gives them the training that facilitates their inclusion into society in a manner befitting the status of a true Muslim.
  • The 62 acre campus and surrounding beauty ensures that living at Hijaz is spiritually as well as socially relaxing.
  • Hijaz serves as a centre of intellectual and spiritual activity that is developing strategies and programmes to revive the faith and practice of the Muslim community and to spread the Prophetic way of life to the wider society.
