Entrance Requirement and Application Procedure

Hijaz College welcomes applications from boys from the ages of 11 to 16 who wish to studying an Islamic environment, this includes applications from boys from other faiths.  It does not discriminate on the grounds of race or religion and takes applications from students world wide.
Application Procedure: Students wishing to apply for a place to study at Hijaz, must adopt the following procedure;
1. Ring the school on +44 (0) 2476 641333 for an application form or alternatively fill in the form and print it.  Please attach link to pdf here
2. Complete the application form and send it together with the applicants latest school report and a £50.00 application fee payable to 'Jamia Islamiya'.  This form must be accompanied with all the relevant reports and documentation required otherwise the application process will be delayed.
3. Once the application form is received it will be screened, to assess academic and social aspects of the applicants’ school history.  If this is satisfactory, parents and prospective students will be invited for an interview or to a set open day, either by post or verbally by telephone.  At this time, the student and the accompanied parents or guardians shall have an opportunity to see around the campus with one of our members of staff.  They will also be given a presentation about Hijaz that should answer most of their questions insha Allah.
4. All students and parents are interviewed.  The interview will include standard questions to the applicant and his parents/guardian, which are aimed at determining if the applicant wants to study at Hijaz for the right reasons and if Hijaz is able to meet the needs of the applicant.
5. This will be followed by an entrance examination in English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Arabic, RE, General Knowledge and Islamic Studies.
6. If the applicant is successful in the above he will be offered either a conditional offer of a place at Hijaz in writing.
7. Parents must sign and return the acceptance form, together with any fees that are due to the Registrar / Admissions Officer  in order to secure a place.  At this time the terms & conditions come into effect.  The acceptance form must be accompanied by three post-dated cheque's for the annual fees (click here to see the details of the annual fees).  However, overseas students must pay all the fees before the commencement of the academic year.  All these fees are non-refundable.
