Hijaz College Islamic University is an independent boarding school for boys with a strong Islamic ethos, accepting students from the UK and abroad. Hijaz was founded with the vision to produce excellent scholars of Islam that are proficient in their secular and religious studies.
A societal issue has occurred in the West where the young Muslim has become confused about his European and Islamic identity and struggles to align the two comfortably. Many parents in the West and the East are understandably becoming increasingly concerned with their son's welfare. Many Muslim youth are rebelling against the traditions of their forefathers in a bid to forge an identity that they are able to relate to.
Hijaz College Islamic University aims to nurture young Muslim boys so they may grow up to become dynamic Muslim scholars with a robust Islamic and secular education. These young men graduating from Hijaz College may then return to their local communities as role models and leaders, equipped to tackle contemporary societal issues. Many young graduates enrolled at Hijaz from varying backgrounds, including broken or abusive homes, gang culture and non-Muslim upbringings. Their common achievements have been to return to their communities as thoughtful, astute and sincere young Muslims, ready to embark upon their professional careers.
The Hijaz College curriculum has been carefully constructed to ensure the academic, personal and spiritual development of all its students. Hijaz College teaches all the British national curriculum subjects alongside Ilm-e-Deen (Islamic sciences)
